No.(2), Basic Education High School, Kamayut (အထက(၂)ကမာရြတ္). This is one of the popular public BEHS high schools from City Yangon, the capital of Yangon Division. This school is considered to be one of the top six high schools in Yangon according to governmental DBE 3. Compare to other famous public schools, St. Augustine has less student body and less discrimination among family hierarchies. This school is also konwn as St.Augustine in the colonial times and the St. Augustine church is just beside the school. It is taught by sisters and fathers from St. Augustine church as private school in the colonial times. After the revolution, the government take over and change as public school.

The library is located at Kant Kaw Building, Second Floor just beside the multimedia lab. Usually students need serious permission to get into the library and get access to the books apart from the special projects. Computer lab also needs permission from Class teacher and also from Headmistress. Usually students don't get the code to get into the labs if it is just to study. Since all homeworks and exams are in class style and the use of any form of electronic devices such as cell phones, cameras and calculators are strongly prohibited, students can avoid computer lab.
[edit] Classroom System
Like other public schools in Burma, the classrooms divided starting from Class A to generally till Class F or Class G, based on the student population of certain academic year. Final exams are mandatory and the marks on 100 scale is what decide which class the students have to go for the next Academic year. Usually classroom size is 55 to 60. Teacher student ratio is around 1:25.

Students are all required to be in one of the Academic Teams, distinguished by Yellow, Green, Red, Blue and Orange. Sorting of which student should be in which team depends on Class teacher. Class teacher might put students through according to academic abilities, school registration number or alphabetical names or sometimes draw the student names randomly. There will be two student leaders for each team, one girl and one boy. Usually class vote for picking leaders. Out of the ten leaders from five different teams, class have to pick the Class president (class monitor) back again. At 11th grade (senior year), these ten student leaders will be considered automatically as Student Council. This certain color team will have to work together the whole year, in-class mini competitions, and intramural school sport competitions. Other than Academic teams, private clubs and organizations are strongly prohibited. Upon request, the Headmistress, the Deans, the Student Council and the Parent-Teacher Council will make a meeting for permission and usually find a reason to reject a private group or club.

Dance - BEHS 2 Kamayut has the reputed hall of fame on Myanmar Dance. BEHS 2 Kamayut girls hold the champion cup of the new year dance (Thingyan Yane) for Yangon city for at least six consecutive years from now on. Other than that, BEHS Burmese dance club involves in other Nationwide concerts and so many shows. Every class participate in at least one dance on the School Family Day, January 3rd of every year. Marching Band - BEHS marching band did both Class A (with air instruments) and Class B (without air instruments but just flute) marching band type. Mostly students do Class A for practice but usually school got venerable positions on Class B marching band nation-wide. BEHS has one of the best marching styles apart from some military affiliated schools. Sports - Students play badminton, soccer, running, cheer leading and marching band at their PE time. Those activities are school-wide twice a month and teach students basics skills and understandings of certain sports. But only the small amount are chosen for competitions.
